Henry Bainbridge and his family run a hill farm, raising sheep and managing the land according to a time honoured tradition. The farm welcomes visits by schools and other groups, and provides an opportunity for people to learn about an important aspect of the county's farming heritage.

Big Blindhurst

Set in scenic Bleasdale, Big Blindhurst Farm will soon be offering two self catering holiday lets in an area of outstanding beauty. Run by Bob and Elizabeth Kelsall, who own the adjoining dairy and sheep farm, the converted barn will provide luxury accommodation in a secluded location near to Parlick Pike, with easy access to the local fells.

Robert and Anne Gardner own and manage Bleasdale Cottages - a group of newly converted 4 star, self-catering properties nestling at the foot of Fairsnape Fell. They have a strong interest in both woodland management and wildlife. Lower Fairsnape Farm has large areas of woodland and is a popular haunt for wild birds such as lapwing, making it an ideal area for walkers and bird watchers alike.

Bowland Brewery

Started brewing in June 2003 using a one barrel plant formerly used by Picks Brewery. Brewing was briefly transferred to an industrial unit in Accrington in late summer 2003, using the 5 barrel plant which was previously at the Fuzz & Firkin, to allow for structural work to be carried out at Bashall Barn. Brewing returned to Bashall Barn in January 2004.

Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team

Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team volunteers provide 365-day Mountain Search and Rescue services in both the rural and urban districts of Lancashire. A registered charity, the MRT gives talks on first aid and mountain safety, and it works with members of the Bowland Experience to demonstrate its work and to arrange special fund raising events.

Cleveley Mere Fishing and Lodges

Cobble Hey Farm & Gardens

Cobble Hey Farm and Gardens is a successful example of farm diversification. Eight years ago, it was transformed from an ordinary working farm into a country garden, open to the public.
